Membership is valid until March 31 of the second year following membership qualification.
There are two phases to the “FLY ON Program” benefits, one which starts after two months following qualification for membership and the other which starts from April of the following year.
A membership card will be issued within two months following qualification for membership. This card enables you to take advantage of the services and is valid until March 31 of the following year after membership qualification.
A full membership card of the highest tier achieved in the previous year will be issued in March.
All coupons are sent to members around March 31 of the following year, based on the highest membership level reached in the calendar year (January-December) preceding the date on which sufficient Fly On points were accumulated.
Based on the points accumulated during the calendar year, service for the appropriate membership level will apply, starting within the two months after the member reaches the required number of FLY ON Points.
At the expiry of your current membership level, JAL will issue a new membership card and coupons for qualified members. Membership levels are determined based on your points accumulation (or number of eligible flights) for the preceding calendar year from January-December.
As soon as you reach the required number of FLY ON Points or number of flights eligible for a higher tier in one calendar year, you will receive a “FLY ON Card” within two months, which activates services that enables you to take advantage of the higher service. This service is effective only on advancing to a higher level in a single calendar year.
Upgrade certificates for JAL international flights or Class J on Japan domestic flights (including IC Class J coupons) are currently awarded to JMB members on the basis of their JMB “FLY ON Program” status.
